Breastfeeding

Our program provides breastfeeding education and support to all pregnant and breastfeeding participants. Our breastfeeding support staff consists of breastfeeding peer helpers and health professionals with additional lactation training.

Breastfeeding assistance is available to WIC participants in the office, by phone, and by text Monday-Friday during regular business hours. We offer virtual breastfeeding classes and support groups. We can help qualifying mothers obtain a breast pump and have a successful breast pumping experience.

For after-hours support, all breastfeeding mothers (including those not on the WIC program) may call the Ohio Department of Health’s free 24-hour Breastfeeding Hotline at 888-588-3423. To learn more about the ODH Breastfeeding Hotline, click here.
