Office Specialist 1

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; 1-year experience in a professional office setting or similar position; or any combination of equivalent education, training and/or experience. Experience with Tyler Cashiering and Energov Software Applications preferred. Successful candidates must be skilled in the operation of personal computers and associated hardware and software. Candidate must have experience operating basic office equipment and data entry experience. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. Required to have regular and predictable attendance.
Job Duties: Serves as one of four clerical support personnel to the Administrative Division, Plumbing Division, Environmental Health Division, and the Water & Waste Division; enters data into agency databases; assists with processing registrations, permits and licenses; issues certified birth and death certificates; makes copies; assists with coordinating trainings and registrations for trainings; files paperwork; makes photocopies and faxes documents. Greets and assists the public and contractors seeking Public Health services at the front counter; assists with completing applications, processing paperwork, providing completed permits and answering general questions. Takes payments and handles money, checks, and wire transfers. Operates cash register system and is responsible for balancing cash drawer daily. Assists with incoming calls; answers calls, directs calls to the appropriate person or alternate agency, and takes messages as needed.

Nutritionist Minimum Qualifications: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences, Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition, or Home Economics with an emphasis in Nutrition; Nutritionists function under the supervision of a registered/licensed dietitian; One (1) year experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience; Knowledge with lactation management; Must complete 6 hours of continuing education per year; Skilled in working with computers and the public; Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license; Required to have regular and predictable attendance.

Provide nutrition education and counseling to income-eligible women (pregnant, breastfeeding, and post-partum), infants, and children up to the age of five years; Promote and support breastfeeding. Conduct nutrition assessments; Document notes in participant charts. Assign risk codes and appropriate food packages; Issue breast pumps; Follow WIC Policies and Procedures; Utilize a computer and texting program; Prepare educational materials; Conduct outreach activities; Refer clients to other services; Obtain anthropometric measurements; Conduct hemoglobin tests; Perform clerical duties as needed; Attend meetings and complete required training; Assist with supervising the work of any Nutritionists and/or Dietetic Technicians on staff, which includes accepting referrals of high-risk participants, reviewing charts, observing appointments, and reviewing and approving education plans and materials developed; Assist with social media posts.

Job Duties: This is a full-time position in the Environmental Health Division, and the duties will include but not be limited to conducting inspections and complaint investigations on food operations, swimming pools/spas, body art facilities, campgrounds, schools, institutions, and manufactured home parks; investigating animal bite reports of the Rabies Prevention Program; preparing and documenting inspection reports; maintaining accurate files and other office records; collecting samples as assigned; and conducting education presentations to promote improved environmental practices.

Job Duties: Care coordination of the Children with Medical Handicaps (CMH) program; conducts home/ telehealth visits with families; assesses family needs and provides support, information, and referrals as necessary; completes all nursing documentation in the electronic medical records and billing as required by CMH; performs chart reviews and implements quality improvement measures; plays an active role in providing infant, children, adult, and international travel vaccinations in CCPH immunization clinics on a routine basis; participates in the immunization program planning and implementation; conducts management on all reported cases of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and Childhood Lead Poisoning occurring in Clermont County; participates in outreach activities; actively participates in continuous quality improvement with the agency; participates in activities to ensure and maintain accreditation status. The individual filling this position will also be trained in basic CCPH-related emergency response procedures and is considered essential for any public health emergency response and disaster recovery.

Epidemiologist

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in related field or public health experience preferred; Completion of at least one graduate-level course in epidemiology and biostatistics required or an ability to complete these courses within six months of hire; Two (2) years of experience or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience; Must meet CDC/CSTE requirements for Tier 2: Epidemiologist; Must have strong computer skills and ability to use epidemiological software; Must have strong written and verbal communication skills; Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work in partnership with other staff; Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license; Required to have regular and predictable attendance;
Job Duties: This is a full-time field position in the Community Health Services Branch, and duties will include working collaboratively with the communicable disease nurse in conducting investigation and surveillance of reportable infectious diseases; conducting basic epidemiologic analysis and disseminate findings via reports or presentations; participating in outbreak and other epidemiologic investigations; participating in emergency preparedness activities; fatality review facilitation and management; plans, implements, and provides assistance in all aspects of the CCPH epidemiological programs; collects, interprets, performs statistical analysis, and presents data to a wide variety of audiences; learn and use data visualization platforms; ability to research and implement best practices necessary to promote health equity, reduce disparities, and to be a resource on the subject matter.
